Participation of the Chairman of the East Gate Organization in the Rafidain Forum 2024 "The Future of Humanity: Crises and transformations"
As part of the activities of the Rafidain Forum 2024, the President of East Gate for Sustainable Development participated in the workshop entitled "Legislative Integration between the quality of the legal text and the sovereignty of the judiciary". This workshop was held within the activities of the forum, which was held from 3 to 5 March 2024, at the Al-Rashid Hotel (Royal Tulip).
Themes of the workshop:

The importance of legislative integration: This theme addresses the importance of integrating and harmonising legal texts with each other, and how this contributes to achieving justice and applying the law more effectively.

The quality of the legal text: This theme addresses the standards and principles of designing legal texts, the basics of legal language, and the role of clarity and accuracy in drafting laws.

Judicial sovereignty: This theme discusses the concept of judicial sovereignty and its importance in ensuring the application of the law without external interference, and how to achieve a balance between state authorities.

Challenges and obstacles to legislative integration: This theme reviews the challenges that may face the process of legislative integration and how to overcome them.
On the sidelines of the forum, Mr Yahya Mahjoub, President of Orient Gate, met with His Excellency the Iraqi Minister of Justice, Mr Khalid Shawani, where they discussed the proposal to qualify correctional officers to enter the labour market and train them on financial education, where the Minister offered to arrange an appointment at the Ministry to study the idea and develop mechanisms for its implementation.
The workshop "Legislative Integration between Legal Text Quality and Judicial Sovereignty" is an important part of the efforts to develop the law and promote justice, and provided a platform for discussion and effective exchange of opinions and experiences in this field.
