Materials used in thermal insulation and ways to improve thermal insulation in Iraq
A new and important study has been issued by the East Gate Center on thermal insulation in building and construction materials, entitled "The Importance of Thermal Insulation in Iraq". This study provides an in-depth analysis of how to improve energy efficiency in Iraqi buildings through thermal insulation, focusing on three main axes: reducing energy consumption, improving thermal comfort, and reducing carbon emissions. The study indicates that the use of insulation materials such as fiberglass and foam can significantly contribute to reducing cooling and heating costs, which enhances environmental sustainability.
To achieve these goals, the study proposes the following recommendations:
Promoting the use of effective insulation materials: Encouraging the use of highly efficient insulation materials such as fiberglass and mineral wool to improve the thermal performance of buildings.
Improving building design: Adopting architectural designs that contribute to reducing heat loss, such as using double-glazed windows and natural ventilation.
Community awareness: Spreading awareness about the benefits of thermal insulation and its importance in reducing energy consumption and preserving the environment.
Supporting government policies: Developing government policies that support the use of thermal insulation in new buildings and providing incentives for existing buildings to adopt these solutions.
Investing in Research and Development: Supporting research and development in the field of thermal insulation materials and technologies to improve their efficiency and reduce their cost.
These recommendations aim to create a more efficient and sustainable residential environment in Iraq, which contributes to achieving economic savings and environmental protection.
