The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul is organizing its scientific conference on Human Capital under the theme of "Maintenance, Upgrading, and Development." The conference is held in collaboration with the Mosul Center for Culture and Sciences, with the strategic partnership of the East Gate Center.

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Nabil Kazem Abdul Sahib, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmedi, the President of the University of Mosul, the conference aims to explore the various aspects of human capital in Iraq and its role in maintenance, upgrading, and development.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the Assistant to the President of the University of Mosul for Administrative Affairs, representing the University President, and Mr. Yahya Abd Mohjoub, the Vice Chairman of the Mosul Center for Culture and Sciences, and the chairman of the East Gate Center. Additionally, various personalities from the city, members of the University Council, and faculty members and students from the College were in attendance.

The opening ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Dr. Abdulmalik Suleiman, followed by the national anthem. Subsequently, Professor Dr. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman, the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, delivered a speech, providing an insightful overview of the college through a video presentation. Mr. Yahya Abd Mohjoub, the Deputy Chairman of the Mosul Center for Culture and Sciences and the Chairman of the East Gate Center for Economic Research & Market Studies, also addressed the audience, highlighting the strategic partnership between the Al-Mosul center and the East Gate Center.

First Session: Opening Lecture

The first session of the conference was chaired by Professor Dr. Thaer Ahmed Saadoun Al-Samman. The opening lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Ra'iq Abdullah Georgis, the Director of Oxford Company and an Iraqi expatriate. The lecture focused on strategies and interpretations of the Iraqi transformation model, particularly the human and economic visions related to Iraqi innovation and technology.

The subsequent lectures and discussions during the conference covered a wide range of topics related to human capital and its significance in Iraq's development, including:
