The East Gate Organization for Sustainable Development, the Mosul Center for Culture and Science, and the University of Mosul, within the work of the Community Health Services Forum in Nineveh for the period 10/24/26/2023, held a workshop on using the importance of health insurance packages on the health reality in Iraq, in which Ahmed Khatahtbeh, Director of Insurance, participated. Health care provider at Carr Insurance Company, Omar Hisham Muhammad and Nour Muhammad Ahmed from the National Insurance Company, and A.M.D. Omaima Abdul Razzaq Ibrahim from the College of Medicine at the University of Mosul. The workshop addressed the importance of health insurance, the mechanism of work of health insurance systems in the developed world, the harms of the absence of insurance systems, the conditions for establishing an efficient health insurance system, and the appropriate formula for health insurance in our societies. The workshop participants recommended The need to spread awareness among citizens about the importance of health insurance, its role in reducing waste in health expenses, and improving the quality of health services. He urged governments and legislative bodies to enact laws requiring government and private institutions to provide health insurance for employees and workers in general.
